After great success from the renowned Michelangelo’s in both Knightsbridge and Marylebone, Paul Loizou decided to further his love for food to the Home Counties.
1993 saw the establishment of the Silver Palate in both St Albans Christopher place and Harpenden’s Vaughan road. Starting as a delicatessen, the Silver Palate focused on offering delicious produce from across Europe, importing the finest cheeses, wines and cured meats from regions in France, Italy and Greece Spain and beyond.
By 2003, Angelo and his Mother evolved their father’s legacy, seeing an opportunity to develop the name of the Silver Palate. This period saw the development of a seating area, which allowed the people of St. Albans and Harpenden to enjoy the wide variety of delicious produce in-house.
Today, the Silver Palate has become a prominent figure within the Harpenden community, with the refurbishment in 2015 giving both our team and the town a new sense of excitement.
